Research

The current research interests of the chair include semiotic analysis of mathematical texts, philosophy of mathematical practice, theories of mathematical cognition, history of medieval Hebrew, Arabic, vernacular-European and South Indian mathematics, and the history of 18th-19th century European mathematics.
